I know for women they hate that they put on weight on their hips, butts and thighs and men want to lose beer fat because they get made fun of for being “pregnant.” But the beer belly or pop belly is a great place to store fat. What? you might be thinking? Yes the stomach or abdomen is a great place to carry excess belly fat because it’s away from vital organs and if the fat in the stomach does not have too much mass, it’s still possible for you to do the things you do in your daily life.

What would happen if instead of putting on weight in your butt, hips or stomach, you put weight on your chest right near your lungs or heart? You’d probably die from a massive stroke or heart attack.

What would happen if you only gained weight in your calves? After a while you wouldn’t be able to even walk, which would make the whole cycle even worse. It’s quite amazing how the body will put excess weight and excess toxins (like alcohol) in places where it will cause us the least harm.

Having said all of that having a beer belly or losing beer belly is not fun. People will constantly make note of your growing waistline or remind you that you have one and that is never fun. Then there is the stress you put on yourself to lose beer belly once and for all. You’ll make promises to yourself that you will stop drinking beer or eating those fattening foods and when you are unable to keep your promise that gets you depressed and more stressed. What do you want to do when you are depressed and/or stressed?

It is possible to get a flat stomach. But you have to start drinking less and less beer. That beer you’re constantly drinking turns into carbohydrates then sugars and your body stores that as belly fat.

Beer has excessive empty carbs (carbohydrates) that do nothing but harm the body. Your body literally has no idea what to do with them and they are toxic. Most toxins are fat soluble which means they get stored inside fat cells. Beer also has hops which basically changes your hormone levels and causes men to turn into pregnant women. The more hops a beer has the more estrogen it has causing men to turn into women. Add all that with the carbonation in most all commercial beers like Coors, Bud Lite etc and it’s a recipe for disaster. If you care about your health and your family you have to stop drinking or drink way less often. Don’t you want six pack abs? Don’t you want tight, toned and sexy core? Start with eliminating the excessive drinking and raising your hormone levels and metabolism by exercising more often. You can get rid of your pop belly and lose the flabby stomach, you just have to want to change your lifestyle.

Drink beer and possibly even comfort yourself with a high fat meal or desert which does what? It causes you to gain back your beer belly or pot belly as people call it also. So in order to avoid that vicious cycle we’ll need to do a few things I’ll outline below.

Work outs to help lose your beer belly

Make working out a part of your life. Make it a part of who you are. Start by clicking on the link above, buy the course, don’t worry it’s cheap but it’s worth every penny. They will give you great dietary information about how to lose excess fat and lose that beer gut you’ve developed over the years. Not only that but the course is amazing, it’ll take you step by step on how to lose your beer belly.

Make working out a regular part of your daily routine. If you were to workout for a half hour a day to start with, that means you’d only workout for 1/48th of the day. Who doesn’t have 30 minutes? But that also means after a month you will have worked out for almost 16 hours. Now that’s amazing isn’t? Talk about minimum/optimum. We’re going for minimum effort with optimum results in order to really lose beer belly.

Diet to get rid of your beer belly

Many people I believe have the wrong approach to changing dietary patters and habits. Because they want quick results and don’t want to change who they really are, they focus on what they need to eliminate from their diets. We know you probably want to eliminate or significantly reduce beer, fattening foods, late night eating, desserts and the list goes on right?

In my mine the number one way to change your diet for the long term is what I call: subtraction by addition. What does subtraction by addition mean you say? Well it changes the fundamental way we look at foods to avoid. Food that gives us a beer belly right? foods that send us into the grave before our time. My advice is to pick one or two foods that are highly nutritious for you. Let’s use as an example fresh fruit or vegetable juice. Or perhaps it could be a nice fresh raw salad. In any event here’s how it looks.

Let’s say you really want that beer when you get home from work. You’re tired and want to relax right? Well if you had a juicer at home, tell yourself you can have that beer (you probably would want to wait a while after drinking the fresh vegetable or fruit juice) only if you have the juice first. That creates character, that creates discipline, that changes lives.

Or let’s say it’s a salad. Have your salad with each meal. No matter what you eat have that salad. Keep doing that with healthy foods and pretty soon you’ll have so many foods you want to try each day, that you won’t have room for the foods that give you that beer belly. It worked for me.

Over the course of 5 years I’ve changed my diet and lifestyle like you wouldn’t believe. I wouldn’t have believed it had you told me five years ago what I’d be like today.

Having a beer belly is the result of being too acidic. Acidic foods include meats, sugars, breads etc. Alkaline foods are green foods like wheatgrass, lettuce (dark green leafy ones) and even bone. Some people, who eat meat, eat the bone because the bone is alkaline and the meat is acidic. Lookup acid alkaline balance, or blood ph if you want to know more about this.

Hopefully I’ve given you some good tips on how to lose beer guts and what you can do to avoid the dreaded pot belly or beer belly as it’s also called.

What’s the best way to lose a fat tummy?

Losing a fat tummy is a complex issue but it to a greater or lesser extent comes down to 3 basic things, diet, exercise and lifestyle. If you want to lose a fat tummy you need to focus and stay motivated. Nobody likes to have a fat tummy and it’s just not attractive. Don’t resort to expensive surgery like the lap band, a tummy tuck or liposuction when you can tone up your midsection by diet, exercise and lifestyle. If you can control your appetite for food and stop eating as much processed foods like excessive carbohydrates you well on your way to losing a fat tummy. The best way to lose a fat tummy in my opinion is stop eating carbohydrates, do cardio training and do stomach exercises like situps and crunches. Carbohydrates are the main culprit for bloating and belly fat in our culture.

I have a bloated beer belly what do I do?

Having a bloated beer belly has a lot to do with not having enough beneficial bacteria. Most likely you have candida. Candida are harmful bacteria that grow in your gut and intestine because you don’t have enough good bacteria to keep them in check. So you bloat every time you eat. You get gas a lot, fart and have a protruding and bloated beer belly right? You have too much visceral fat and now you have fat rolls and it’s all from eating too many processed foods and carbonated beverages like beers and cokes etc. Stop being lazy, get out there and get a handle on your bloated beer belly by taking responsibility for your health and body.
