What most people don’t understand is that because they focus most of their energy on one particular body part, they think they will be able to flatten their stomach for example or build a bigger chest etc.
What they fail to understand is that it takes a total body workout in order to flatten that stomach or build those chest muscles. It’s important to workout your entire body when you’re in the gym. Or have a total body workout plan. Let’s talk a little bit about why you should not focus too much of your effort on any one body part.

What happens when you neglect the total body workout plan and only focus on your lower body for example? Your upper body gets neglected and becomes weak. You don’t want to let any area of your body get weak. You want to put muscle on evenly over your entire body and the best way to do this is a total body workout. So what does a total body workout look like? Well you must do exercises that use your entire body for one. Using your own body weight is a great way to do this.
Also using free weights like kettle bells because they force you to use your back, legs, arms shoulders on most exercises when using them. This allows your total body workout to be more effective. It’s called compound exercising. If you’re in the gym, look around to see what exercises other people are doing. I learn a lot each time I’m in the gym. I see people doing new exercises every single day.
I also like using those inflated workout balls (or medicine ball) for balance. Then I like doing squats and arm curls all while trying to balance on those exercise balls, sometimes called stability balls. This will workout your arms, lower back, and legs all at the same time. Talk about a total body workout exercise that will get your heart rate pumping.

The benefits of a total body workout routine: The benefits of a total body workout routine are huge.
When I started doing total body workout exercises as well as making sure I have a full muscle building routine that hits all of my major muscle groups I was able to completely transform my body. I was doing standard exercises for years and when I began implementing this total body workout concept, it absolutely changed my whole physique in ways I couldn’t ever have imagined. You’ll get more ripped but you’ll also lose fat while gaining strength and muscle all at the same time.
You’ll tighten and tone your whole body from your head to your toes. It’s incredible. But in order to make this total body workout routine work for you, you must start thinking outside the box and start opening your mind up to a whole new set of exercises you never have seen or probably even heard of before. You have to be willing to try new things and learn new exercises for this total body workout to benefit your body, mind and life. The upside is huge. Every major bodybuilder uses a form of a total body workout into their routine. They don’t neglect any muscles or muscle groups. If professional weightlifters and bodybuilders don’t neglect any one part of their body, why should you?

Try incorporating a total body workout routine into your current muscle building plan and you’ll start seeing the results in under two weeks I guarantee it. You will feel the results of a total body workout the next morning when you wake up, that is for sure!
Total Body Workout Plan.
When beginning a total body workout plan it’s important to warm up and stretch before you start your routine. I like to do some body stretches and maybe some light yoga to get my blood flowing. After I do my warm up for about 5 minutes then I might get on a recumbent exercise bike or do some running on a treadmill just to get me in the right mindset. Make sure to have a guide you follow so you can track and log your progress as you continue this healthy lifestyle.
Let’s get to the meat of the total body workout plan now. You have to get out of the mindset of isolating your muscles. You can’t go to the gym focused on only working out your arms and chest for example. You need a workout plan that works every muscle in your entire body from your head to your feed. These types of total body workout plans are great for getting into good physical fitness.
These full body workout plans get people into tip top shape. Their strong and fit as well as being in great cardiovascular shape. I like doing compound exercises because this type of weightlifting works out both your lower and upper body at the same time. An example of compound workouts are doing squats while your doing curls with free weights. Or doing squats while doing shoulder press with dumbbells. You can combine exercises like this to workout your entire body. Make sure you stick to your total body workout plan for best results. Here is a great system that offers one of the better workouts for your entire body.
Full Body Muscle Workout.
Working your full body means exercising your calves to your neck and everything in between. Your quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes (butt muscles), your hips, your lower back, obliques, middle and upper back as well as biceps and triceps, shoulders, traps, upper middle and lower chest, upper middle and lower abdominal muscles as well as your neck muscles. Don’t forget your forearms. Let me tell you there are not many toning and exercise plans that burn calories and give you that total body resistance you’re looking for. See exercises above. Try doing a superset of them for a real workout.
Are you prepared for a full body muscle workout that will make you burn and leave you feeling sore for days? You’re going to take your fitness to another level with a full body muscle workout. I highly recommend this workout system for people that want to get fit and lean and workout their entire upper and lower bodies.
Remember strength training should be fun if it’s not fun you’ll lose motivation to achieve your goals.
A Full Body Gym Workout.
Personally I recommend people get a gym membership. Having a membership at a local health club is much better then working out at home because you have access to lots of equipment and once you’re there, you’re more motivated because you have less distractions.
Crossfit is something that is gaining more and more popularity these days as a full body gym workout. In fact many people do crossfit at home. Cross training is key. But I like this workout system better than crossfit because it’s easier to stick to and the results you get are probably even better.
So you may want to checkout this full body gym workout if you’re looking to get trim and toned but also be very strong and flexible. See you in the gym! And remember to get this bodybuilding ebook before it’s too late.
